Coaching for all levels, age and gender, including disabled is undertaken
through the County. Coach education through courses and workshops is also part
of a progressive structure to ensure that
The county has currently two senior, one junior and one cadet team competing in the National County Championships. Players are selected to play as per the county ranking list, which is compiled through player results in county organised competitions and National Rankings where applicable. National Senior Grand Prix’s are run all over the country which some of our players compete in to gain ranking points. However it is with the juniors that the bulk of our coaching is done.
Juniors are our life line to the future, and our coaching structure is basically concentrated on them. Both at Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket have a strong coaching structure through schools and club. This starts at Primary through to High school, and from six to eighteen year old boys and girls. We hold ranking assessments before the start of the season, and together with National Rankings, also other known results the County ranking list is compiled. (To view click on rankings) County training days are organised through the season for squad members
Players also compete in the National Cadet and Junior leagues giving them valuable experience for when they make the County teams.
More players are always needed especially girls, so if you would like to give it a try contact us and we will give you all the help and support you need.
