PROCEDURE

RANKING AND SELECTION GUIDELINES PROCEDURE The committee meets during the year under the Chairmanship of an elected official. Its members consist of County Coach, Team Managers and Competition Secretary. Each League is invited to send one competent representative to the meetings. The committee will issue rankings based on the following guidelines as approved by the Management Committee. They must approve any subsequent changes before implementation. PRIORITY 1: The players on the National Ranking List at the time of the meeting: - Men - top 100, Women - top 50, Junior boys-top 100, Junior girls top 50. PRIORITY 2: Results from the County Closed Championships. PRIORITY 3: Results from County Assessments. PRIORITY 4: The player's position on the National Ranking List at the time of the meeting that applies to all players not included in Priority 1. PRIORITY 5: Results obtained in representative County matches for the last 2 seasons PRIORITY 6: Results obtained from National Junior and Cadet Leagues together with any other known results. PRIORITY 7: Players who repeatedly fail to compete in the relevant County Championships will be removed from the County Ranking List. Written notice giving a valid reason for non attendance of the Assessments and Championships will be considered. PLAYER ELIGIBILITY ETTA County Championships regulations state that to be eligible to represent a County a player must at the date of the match - (1) Must have been born or reside in the County. (2) If a player has been a member of only one league affiliated to the County (3) may represent that County without having any other qualification. (4) Represented the County on 6 occasions. AGE LIMITS for 2008-9 Junior: Born on or after 1^st January 1991 Cadet : Born on or after 1^st January 1994 Under 13: Born on or after 1^st January1996 Veterans: Born on or before 1^st January 1969
